The original (painted) artwork to the "Foundtion" fine art print series. Each original artwork takes about 3-4 weeks to paint, carefully adding layers of paint to create the final virbrant and detailed artwork Angie is known for!
About the artwork
My family and friends are my foundation and I love the laughter and chatter when we all get together. They either live or come from all parts of the world. I’ve used different flowers to represent their nationalities, the roots to represent our history and the Sulphur-Crested Cockatoo is the most talkative of birds, need I say more! Kowhai (NZ), Waratah (Australia/NSW), Hibiscus (Pacific Island), Marguerite Daisy (Denmark), Shamrock Flower/clover (Ireland), Thistle (Scotland), Lotus (Vietnam).
Painted using professional grade acrylics on Cotton Canvas (35mm profile in Pine Heavy Duty (HD) with a smooth Light Tooth (LT) cotton.) The 35mm profile stretcher bars are made from kiln-dried NZ pine, with a 180 degree lip for the strongest possible edge. Stapled at the back using stainless steel staples.
